Can I skip a month of ObamaCare?
With ObamaCare came a fee for anyone who goes without health insurance. There is however an allowance of two months. Every American is allowed to go without health insurance coverage for two full months. Can I use my HRA to pay for Marketplace coverage?
The answer is yes, you can use a HRA to pay for health premiums, but an employer can’t fund an HRA to reimburse individual coverage.
What if my insurer won’t reinstate coverage?
This can happen. In the event that your health insurer refuses to pay a claim or ends your coverage, you have the right to appeal their decision and have it reviewed by a third party.
Can I be denied a health plan on the health marketplace if I work but don’t have an employer health plan?
The point of ObamaCare is to help the underinsured get affordable healthcare. If you work, but your employer doesn’t offer health care coverage, you can still shop for a health care plan on the marketplace with cost assistance.
What are the coverage requirements for new citizen traveling?
If you are a citizen of the United States, who qualifies based on income, you must obtain health care coverage or an exemption or be fined. If you are traveling back and forth between the United States and another country, you can be exempt for spending 330 consecutive days in the year outside of the US.
